All things Stone & Tile from your friends at StoneTrash

Here at StoneTrash, we pride ourselves on the power and flexibility that we put in the hands of our sellers. Part of that is the ability to set your own price at whatever level you see fit. We are strong believers that supply and demand will guide pricing on our platform, as users revisit listings that haven’t sold in a while and realize that they may need to lower its cost; that being said, we thought this edition of TrashTalk would be a good place to offer some insight and best practices regarding this process. By the end of this article, you should feel confident that you’re well-equipped to competitively sell your material on StoneTrash.

This past week, the StoneTrash team had the distinct pleasure of joining the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association, the Tile Council of North America, the Tile Contractors’ Association of America, and the National Tile Contractors Association for Total Solutions Plus 2018 at the Gaylord Texan Convention Center in Grapevine, TX. Our week featured some thoughtful insights (and one twenty-five yard pass) from keynote speakers Roger Staubach and JP Pawliw-Fry, great food (be it from the catered lunches and Awards Dinner, or from In-n-Out just down the road), and plenty of great connections that should make StoneTrash even stronger in the coming weeks. We’re excited to share our experience with you, and hope you glean some value from what we learned down in Texas!

It’s been said time and time again that “change is a good thing.” Embracing this mantra has been key to our growth over the last few months here at StoneTrash. For our own purposes of measuring the development of our platform, as well as to update our users on all of this great new functionality, we thought it best to pen a brief blog entry enumerating all of these changes. So in the words of the great Matchbox Twenty, without further ado, “let’s see how far we’ve come.”

Granite, marble, and quartz surfaces come in a variety of colors and finishes. As a result, so too do the countertops that are fashioned from them. With so many different options, choosing a color for your kitchen counters can be a tough choice; luckily, we’ve created this handy guide to the design trends that are taking the kitchen and bath renovation market by storm. Hopefully you’ll find some great inspiration for your next project!

The days of tile as just floor or wall material are long gone. Every day, innovators across the industry are finding unique ways to use floor tile or wall tile outside of their “official” applications.  In this article, we’ll highlight several unique ways to make tile a part of your home, as well as a few other small DIY projects. Hopefully you’ll find something that inspires you!
